Missing option contract का अर्थ हो सकता है कि exchange ने वह exact series कभी list नहीं की, platform ने filters या stale reference data से उसे छिपा दिया, corporate action के बाद symbol बदल गया या broker उसे trade support नहीं करता। ये अलग समस्याएं हैं। Substitute चुनने या position गायब मानने से पहले exact root, expiration, call या put, strike, multiplier और deliverable पहचानें।
पहले confirm करें कि exact series मौजूद है
हर call या put, strike और expiration अलग series है। Exchanges range, interval, expiration-program और product rules के तहत केवल eligible combinations list करते हैं। एक date के लिए available strike दूसरी date के लिए कभी open न हुई हो सकती है और newly requested series अभी active न हुई हो।
Full contract terms का उपयोग करके exchange directory, OPRA series mapping या OCC reference information check करें। केवल stock ticker से search न करें: index, ETF, class share, adjusted option या proprietary product अलग root इस्तेमाल कर सकता है। यह भी confirm करें कि date expire नहीं हुई और product का last trading session बीत नहीं चुका।
Display filters हटाएं और reference data refresh करें
Retail chains weekly dates, far strikes, zero-bid contracts, illiquid series, adjusted roots, calls या puts, nonstandard deliverables या selected range से बाहर expirations छिपा सकती हैं। Chain को all strikes और all expirations पर reset करें, volume या open-interest filters clear करें और full option symbol search करें।
New series और symbol changes को exchange और industry reference files से data vendors होकर broker तक propagate होना पड़ता है। एक platform दूसरे से पहले update हो सकता है। Log out करके refresh करें, quote timestamp देखें और listing absent conclude करने से पहले independent authoritative directory compare करें।
Listed का अर्थ broker पर available होना हमेशा नहीं
Exchange series list करे, फिर भी broker product, adjusted contract, index option, complex order, opening transaction, account type, jurisdiction या unsupported expiration restrict कर सकता है। Account approval, buying power, risk controls, data entitlement और closing-only designation यह बदल सकते हैं कि वह दिखेगी या orders accept होंगे।
Underlying या option में halt, opening delay, corporate action, delisting, symbol migration या pending contract adjustment भी quoting या order entry रोक सकता है। Held position नई adjusted root या position-only view में जा सकती है, standard chain में नहीं। Missing quotes अपने-आप exercise rights या short obligations cancel नहीं करतीं।
Data, quote और order layers को अलग-अलग diagnose करें
तीन सवाल पूछें: क्या series authoritative reference data में मौजूद है, क्या platform current quote दिखाता है और क्या broker intended opening या closing order accept करेगा? एक layer पर yes अगले layer पर yes की guarantee नहीं। बार-बार price बदलने के बजाय exact rejection message capture करें।
यदि contract पहले से own करते हैं, तो account position identifier इस्तेमाल करें और expiration से पहले broker के options desk से संपर्क करें। Chain में आसानी से मिलने वाली similar strike या date से replace न करें; वह अलग payoff, Greeks, settlement और assignment exposure वाला अलग contract होगा।

एक broker पर option दिखती है, दूसरे पर क्यों नहीं?
Platforms में refresh timing, filters, data entitlements, product support, risk policies और adjusted-contract handling अलग हो सकती है। Full identifier और authoritative series data compare करें, फिर missing platform से पूछें कि display या trading restricted है या नहीं।
Stock split या merger के बाद मेरा option गायब क्यों हुआ?
OCC root, deliverable, multiplier या strike representation adjust कर सकता है और broker position को adjusted या position-only chain में move कर सकता है। OCC memo खोजें और केवल नए stock ticker के बजाय सभी terms match करें।
क्या zero open interest option को गायब कर देता है?
अपने-आप नहीं। Listed series में zero open interest और volume हो सकते हैं, लेकिन broker filter उसे छिपा सकता है। उलटे, historical open interest यह guarantee नहीं कि series अभी new trading के लिए open, quoted या broker-supported है।
Expiration के पास held option missing हो तो क्या करूं?
Position record खोलें, full identifier, quantity, deliverable और broker cutoff note करें और broker options desk से तुरंत संपर्क करें। Closing, exercise और do-not-exercise instructions confirm करें; केवल public chain पर निर्भर न रहें।
